Abstract September and October
I am starting a new 60-day Challenge. Who's in?
Miniature: Sophie Taeuber-Arp, “Porteur de vase”, collage, 1928 (detail)
I love abstract Art, although I don't know that much about it, much less practice it.
Yet I would love to. It fascinates me, makes me think, makes me feel. But when it comes to play with it, I'm lost.

I love the idea of playing, in the Arts we practice as in many aspects of life, as Alan Watts stated it:
Here on Substack, I have been mesmerized by the abstract mysterious beauty of the works of Sonia Brittain, Sonia Otero, Cyeece, and Duane Toops, to name a few.
So as I was looking for a new challenge to keep me practicing, I decided I'd start a 1-a-day abstract piece for 60 days.
Would you like to join?

Thanks so much for including me in this post Emily! And to be included with some of my favorite Substack artists is an honor! Great idea for a post - it can get age courage to try a new art form! Play is exactly how I try to approach making. ☺️
sounds like fun!! :)
